A Hidden Legacy
Located in the basement of the iconic Dangerfield's of Shakopee, The Underground is a brand new bootlegger-era inspired bar serving up delicious and affordable bites, handcrafted cocktails, and authentic speakeasy entertainment.
Our building has a rich history extending back to the Prohibition Era, and was actually used as a bootlegger's run to smuggle alcohol into the city. The very walls around you have witnessed decades of clandestine activity and secret gatherings.
Until recently, you could find a secret passageway behind a bookcase in our library that led away from the site - a testament to the ingenious methods used by bootleggers of the past.
